How to Turn Yourself In on a Warrant With a Bond Ready
Step-by-step guide to surrendering on a Maricopa County warrant with a pre-arranged walk-through bond so you are booked and released the same day.
Step 1: Confirm the Warrant and Bond
Call us. We identify the issuing court, the charge and whether a bond amount is attached. If the warrant has no bond or is cash-only, we explain what a defense attorney can do and whether surrender still makes sense.
Step 2: Complete the Paperwork First
Before you go anywhere, the cosigner signs the indemnity agreement electronically and pays the premium. Everything is ready so the bond can be posted the moment booking is done.
Step 3: Pick the Right Time
Early on a weekday morning, ideally Tuesday through Thursday. The jail is quieter, the courts are open, and you avoid the Friday-to-Monday backlog.
Step 4: Surrender
We meet you at the 4th Avenue Jail (or the city facility for a city warrant). You tell the officer you are surrendering on a warrant. You are booked, which takes a few hours. Our agent posts the bond immediately after booking.
Step 5: Release and Next Steps
You are released with paperwork showing your new court date. Keep it, tell your attorney, and show up. Bring a photo ID, leave valuables at home, and arrange a ride.

Turning Yourself In Questions
Will I be held overnight if I turn myself in?
With a pre-arranged bond on a weekday morning, usually not. Booking and release typically happen the same day. Release times are controlled by the jail and can run longer during busy periods.
Should I hire a lawyer before turning myself in?
It is wise. An attorney may be able to quash the warrant without booking, and can advise you about the case. We work alongside defense attorneys every day.
What if I have warrants in more than one court?
We check all of them. Multiple warrants can be cleared in one surrender if the bonds are arranged in advance; otherwise one release can be followed by another hold. Planning avoids that.
How do I check if I have a warrant in Arizona?
Maricopa County Superior Court and Justice Court records are searchable online, and the Arizona Judicial Branch public access site covers most courts statewide. A licensed bail agent can also check discreetly and arrange a walk-through bond so you can clear the warrant without a long stay in jail.
