How to Check for Warrants in Arizona (Free)
Free ways to check for an arrest or bench warrant anywhere in Arizona: statewide court records, county courts, city courts, and when to call a bail agent.
Statewide Court Records
The Arizona Judicial Branch's public access case lookup covers Superior Courts, justice courts and most municipal courts across the state. Search by name and date of birth and review each case for warrant entries. A few large courts, including Maricopa County Superior Court and the Phoenix and Tucson municipal courts, run their own lookups, so check those separately.
County by County
In Maricopa County, check Superior Court, the Justice Courts and the relevant city court. In Pima County, Superior Court and Tucson City Court. For other counties, the statewide portal is usually complete. If you were cited or arrested in a specific city, start with that city's court.
What a Warrant Entry Looks Like
Court records typically show a 'bench warrant issued' or 'FTA' event with a date, and sometimes a bond amount. An arrest warrant on a new charge may not be public until served. If a record is unclear, call the court clerk or call us.
What to Do Next
If the warrant is in Maricopa County, we can confirm the bond and arrange a walk-through bond. For other counties, we coordinate a transfer bond through a licensed local agent. A defense attorney can also ask the court to quash the warrant.

How to Check for Warrants in Arizona Questions
Do warrants show up on background checks?
Outstanding warrants often appear in court records that background check companies search, and an active warrant can also surface during any police contact. Clearing it proactively avoids both problems.
Do Arizona warrants expire?
No. Bench warrants and arrest warrants remain active until served, quashed or recalled by the court, even years later.
Can I be arrested in another state on an Arizona warrant?
Felony warrants are entered in national databases and can lead to arrest and extradition. Misdemeanor warrants are often limited to Arizona but can still appear in background checks.
How do I check if I have a warrant in Arizona?
Maricopa County Superior Court and Justice Court records are searchable online, and the Arizona Judicial Branch public access site covers most courts statewide. A licensed bail agent can also check discreetly and arrange a walk-through bond so you can clear the warrant without a long stay in jail.
